A Case of Giant Cell Tumor of Tendon Sheath

Abstract
|
|
|
We report a case of the giant cell tumor of tendon sheath involving the finger in a 45-year-old woman who presented with asymptomatic, firm, 1×1 cm sized nodule on the left middle finger.
Histopatholoigcally, the nodule was surrounded by hyalinized connective tissue and was composed of pleomorphic monouclear cells with round and spindle-shaped nuclei admixed with mutinucleated giant cells that resembled osteoclasts.
After surgical removal of the lesion, no recurrence was observed. (Kor J Dermatol 1994 ; 32(5) : 939~943)
